Personal Statement
I started wrestling my freshman year. I won two matches my first year out. In 2017 season I went to districts. I loved wrestling ever since I tried it because of the 1 on 1 factor. When you win that feeling is the greatest. In 2017 I was slammed on my neck and could not wrestle for a week. When I came back I was not the same. I was losing a lot and it took it's toll on me mentally. My parents and team supported me and pushed me. Sectionals was coming up in a week. My coach and I knew I was not going to get first. So he wanted me to wrestle back and get true second. The one problem was on the back side was the kid that slammed me. Everyone who supported me told me to go out on the mat and give it my best. I ended up beating both kids I lost to before. The feeling I got when I knew I was going to districts was over whelming. I ended being the only guy from my school to go on. Ever since I had that feeling, I wanted to do this sport at the next level. I know it will not be easy. But I can say win or lose I will give 110%. Wrestling is not a sport to me it is my passion.
