I fell in love with wrestling at a very young age. My friends ask me "how come you wrestle"? My answer is easy. I wrestle because of the life lessons the mat has taught me. I have learned respect, discipline, humility, anger management, how to win, and how to lose. The brotherhood of wrestlers is incredible. I have made life long friends. I know the man that I am becoming is because of what I have learned as a wrestler. I also have learned that if I work hard, do the right thing, and pay it forward, things seem to end up much better for me than doing the opposite. As a future team member, I promise to bring it everyday, to make the team proud that I am a member of it and to go to the mat for my fellow teammates, coaches, and schoolmates. I promise to represent my team and do my best in every match. I feel I am a good leader and advocate for the sport of wrestling. I look forward to my future as a student athlete.
