Personal Statement
I have been wrestling since I was five years old and I have always aspired to be the best wrestler I could possibly be. I began wrestling in MYWAY then progressed to national tournaments as I got older and better. I have also wrestled for my school since sixth grade. Eventually this led to me joining a very successful club, ARES, at the beginning of high school. Due to my previous experience and hard work, I have had many successes in high school wrestling. My freshman year I was a regional qualifier at 112, my sophomore year I was a state qualifier at 125, and my junior year I placed 7th at 135. These successes have also come with other awards such as being a two time Scholar All-American, three time first team All Area Wrestler, two time OK Green Conference Champion, and 100 wins wrestler. I have also had a lot of academic achievements in the classroom. I currently have a 4.22 GPA with a rigorous academic schedule including four AP classes for my senior year. For my first three years of high school, I have taken several honors classes, four AP classes, Latin, and participated in the band program. I am also in the National Honors Society and very active in my local youth group. I attribute these achievements and accomplishments to my strong work ethic and desire to give my best effort to everything I do. I plan to continue working hard through my college life. I hope to find a college that I can continue to wrestle as I begin my pre-medical studies.
