Personal Statement
I started wrestling in the eighth grade and quickly learned it's not all about the win.
I have learned, over the last 4 years, that the effort put in on the mat often reflects
the effort put in while off the mat. The constant work and drive that is necessary to
not only win, but to progress in such an intense sport, is also necessary to stay focused
in class, work, and family time as well.
I am looking to become involved with a smaller school program so that I will be able to
focus on studies as well as my sport. I feel that I am ready to grow as an athlete,
while preparing for my future.
