Trey Smith '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Trey Smith, a senior at Moberly High School in Moberly, Mo. I am 155 pounds, and 5' 10".  I started wrestling in sixth grade kids club, and throughout summer months wrestle with Purler Wrestling Academy, as work allows. As a junior I placed second at districs, I also earned second team all conference honors. I also placed sixth at the high school State tournament. My junior summer I placed fifth at the Brute Adidas National tournament, and was named a Brute Adidas all-american. I won the Missouri Show Me games, and attended the University of Missouri Tiger Style camp, where I won my bracket at the camp. As a senior I am a captain on my team, and I try to lead my team with encouragment, and by showing younger guys on the team some of the technique I have learned at the many camps and clinics I have attended. I have put in a lot of hard work during my summers because it is my dream to wrestle at the next level, while getting the education that I need to suceed in life.Now that season is over, I can add a litle more information, I finished as NCMC All Conference Champ, 1st at districts, and 1st at the state tournament!  I would like to attend a medium size school, preferrably in Missouri, but would definitely be interested in a school that borders Missori.  I live in a family of four kids, so financial needs are there. I really have not narrowed down my decided major yet, I am interested in business, and possibly design drafting, or possiblly marketing.  I would like to attend a school where I have the opportunity to wrestle as a freshman, at the highest level possible, where I will be able to have an impact on my team.
