Personal Statement
I would like to go to college to major in Mechanical engineering. I know I may not be able to go to college without a scholarship because my mom is single parent and paying for college will not be easy. I have bilateral hearing loss since birth and wear hearing aids. I do not let this stop me in any sport I want to play. I work a lot from memory and take more time to learn techniques and when to use them because it is hard for me to hear my coaches during matches and on the football field. My hearing loss also makes virtual learning difficult for me because I often will read lips when in person. Now I am challenged with the mask covering up faces and muffling the sounds even more than they already were to me. I feel like this has made me stronger and I look forward to seeing what else I can do in life. I will continue to do my best.
