Personal Statement

My journey started in wrestling as a seven year old, competing for  Norris Wrestling Club for seven years.  I trained with CES, a local wrestling training academy as well as wrestling with my club team.  After club wrestling came to a close, I wrestled for Norris Middle School in seventh and eighth grade, only losing one match in eighth grade!  Moving on from there, my journey took me to High School wrestling, which was a great experience for me to fine tune my skills and become even more competitive in the sport of wrestling.  I have reached many of my goals in High School, competing at the Nebraska state wrestling meet as a sophomore and currently preparing for districts for another state run as a junior, and would love to have the opportunity to further my wrestling career in college.

My strengths are in the areas of; setups, takedowns, pinning combos, tilts, low singles and my favorite move is the high crotch.  I continue to work hard every day to improve my skills as well as pushing my teammates to become better too.  I'm very coachable and strive to be a leader on and off the mat, being a hard worker and never backing down when things get tough.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA (currently at a 3.6).  I have made honor roll through middle school and high school.  I've earned two character awards in school, as well as being involved in Campus Life, church youth group and competing as a three sport athlete from elementary to high school level.

I want to attend a college that is a good fit academically and athletically,  building my foundation for a career I will enjoy and be successful at after my athletic career is over.
