My name is Doc Rodgers, i would like to begin with talking about who i am as a person on and off the mat. Currently my GPA is a 4.0 with a high school cummulative GPA of 3.778. This includes 15 college credits my junior year and the dual credit classes that i am taking currently. In the past i have never let my my GPA dip below a 3.5 which has put me on the honor roll throughout my educational tenure. The summer prior to my junior year i reconnected with the sport of wrestling. Since then i have put the same discipline and effort into the sport as i have my academics, this includes offseason tournaments, camps, and 1 on 1 practices with decorated national and state champs. Too compliment my wrestling i practice a balanced diet along with a strict daily training program.
I’m looking for a college that can provide a good education in the exercise science field as i am pursing a medical career along with an opportunity to continue my wrestling career. Some of my favorites activities away from school and wrestling include spending time in the outdoors and with my friends and family. I feel i would a good asset to your team as i am a proven dedicated scholar and athlete. Too compliment this i have a positive attitude, great leadership skills and an outstanding work ethic. I am never afraid of a new challenge placed in front of me especially if it will help me become a great student-athlete and person. Last but not least my coachability and the passion to learn new things is contagious to my teammates, this is why i think i would be a good fit for your program.
