I haven't wrestled for very long and there's not much to talk about other than the improvement I've made in the last year. I started wrestling in the fall of my sophomore year for the first time ever, and I liked the challenge and difficulty of it. I've come a long way in just one year. For my sophomore season, we had a strong lineup, but lacked a 195 pounder. I weighed about 165 at that time, but I saw the chance to gain experience and wrestle. I would make 171 before duals and tournaments and run out every time with high hopes. I didn't win a single match my sophomore year that wasn't a forfeit. My sophomore season was probably the most important lesson that I've had yet, because it taught me above all to never quit. I developed a love for motivational quotes because they understood what I was going through and urged me on. My junior year was more successful and I almost pulled through with a .500 season. The most important thing I have to say is that I learned a lot from every loss and I was able to come face to face with adversity without quitting. I'm currently working to become a state champion in the state of North Carolina, and I would like to wrestle for a good school in college. I understand the hardwork required to reach these goals and whole- heartedly plan on obtaining them.
