Personal Statement
One day when I was six years old, my father took me to my first wrestling practice. I fell in love with the sport immediately. From there, wrestling became a big part of my life, and it wasn't until middle school that I decided I wanted to wrestle in college. For my university education, I want to pursue a degree in Kinesiology. I have always had high expectations for my academic work and college is no exception. I want to advance my education so that I can be recognized as an academic All-American. In college, I want to be known as the hardest worker in the wrestling room and eventually become the captain of the team. A huge goal of mine is to become an All American at Nationals. I believe the reason I am the best candidate for a wrestling program is that I am very coachable and always believe in myself. Many of my best wins come when I pushed the pace in overtime or late in the second half to mentally break my opponent. My favorite part of wrestling is the grind. I always enjoy doing multiple practices in a day, grabbing the best kid in the room and scrapping the whole exercise. When my wrestling career is over, I want to be a coach at a wrestling club. I want to do this so I can help many other wrestlers achieve their own goals.
