Personal Statement
I have been on the mat for almost all of my life. It's been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid to play at the college level. I know what is expected on and off the mat, and all the responsibilities that come with it. I always work hard, and I'm determined to get what needs to be done in order to be able to play at the college level.
Off the mat I work very hard in the classroom. I have always had straight A's and maintain a 4.0 GPA in high-school. I always give the best of my ability, and go beyond what is expected. I take all honors classes in order to get the best there is. Out of school I am either in the weight room or on the mat in order to better improve myself as an athlete. I show up to every lifting we have, and even travel to other practices after my own to be the best I can be. I lead by example, and will be one of the best recruits you will come by.
I'm pretty open to any college, but want one that will fit me both academically and athletically. I am ready to show coach what I can to, so I can prove I am ready for the next level. I want to be challenged in my sport while stepping on the mat, and want to make an impact on my team. I want to make my family and community proud while moving on to the college level.
