In 3rd grade, I tried every sport my school offered. Each one was less fun then the last. Something with wrestling really grabbed me though, every time I scored I felt like I did it alone and no one else was there to help. Which also meant that every time I got the wind knocked out of me there was no one else to blame. But the coaching staff that came up with me during my education felt like father figures to me. With my mom keeping me on track with high grades, and my coaches helping me channel my hardships that I had in life into wrestling, I felt that I was doing something that I loved. As I looked into wrestling in college, I felt that it would be a great decision overall since no one in my family had ever wrestled in college, let alone played a sport in college. I am excited find a college that is fitting as well as work with teammates I have never met before, find more education in a field that I love, and make my family proud.
