I started wrestling in the 7th grade. My mom made me do it and I didn’t like it at all. I came out of my first year of wrestling with a negative record and full intentions of not coming back again. 8th grade came around and I lifted all summer. Yet again my mom made me wrestle. I won the first tournament of the year, as well as the next, and many more. I started to love the sport not only because I was successful but also because my mentality and physical state improved tremendously. 8th grade year I went 36-7, I made it to state and went 3-2 there.
Freshman year was a little rough and competition level had changed. My season ended off at 31-20 and I made it to districts. Last year, I went 36-13 making it to districts again. These past few seasons gave me a love for wrestling like no other and I intend on improving every single day which will hopefully bring value to a wrestling team in college. My goals for next year's season are to make it to state and get no more than single digit losses. School has been going well but has been getting harder so my academic goals for next year is to work hard and get a 3.4 GPA improving from my current 3.1. My best highschool accomplishment so far besides winning a couple tourneys is being a 2 time district qualifier.
