My name is Eddie Hay, and I am a student-athlete. I completed my junior year of high school wrestling. It was both a successful year, and a year I know I can improve upon. I placed a 4th in PIAA District XI, so now my focus is the post-season. I became the War at the Jersey Shore champion in April 2017. I'm wrestling strong competition, which motivates me to prepare physically, focus mentally, and stay healthy.
I have three important components of my life: family, school and sports. I am constantly adjusting and striving toward my goals within each part of my life. My role models have supported my dreams and guided me in a way that has allowed me to develop my dedication, skills and perserverance. I know the importance of a balanced mind and body. I manage my weight and overall health with ease, and have a positive outlook on life. I am looking forward to finding a university that supports my aspirations in athletics and education.
Academically, I excel in History and English, but have a passion for Math and Science. As a High School student I am challenging myself by excelling in honors-level classes and exploring all that school has to offer in my future. I am an active member of my community and put great effort into wrestling competiveley year-round.
Focusing my athletic career in wrestling is a part of who I am. Since age 5, I have played many sports, but it became clear to me about two years ago, that I want to concentrate on my wrestling career. I know I have so much more to accomplish in this sport, and will reach the aggressive goals I challenge myself to achieve. Being successful in high school and wrestling drives my motivation and am excited to see how far my enthusiasm for school and sports can take me. I hope you follow me on my journey and see if I am the right fit for your school and team.
