Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Jaqiem Graham, a 16 year old intelligent wrestler who is on the varsity wrestling team at Dutch Fork High. My dad inspired me to wrestle, because when I was younger I wanted to play basketball because I was good at it. When I went to try-outs, I saw wrestlers working out and I like working out.My dad and I would always lift and run suicides when I was younger. My dad always told me that he was really good at wrestling, and told me if I keep it up then people are going to notice me. I am a good candidate for teams, because I am a really kind kid, I am a prodigy at wrestling, football, and I am really smart. I am different from other people, because in my mind, I have to try harder than the next guy yo be as good as the next guy. I run miles to gain stamina, and I always work on my legs to get them stronger too. Wrestlers think just because they are good, they can get recruited. You have to be a good class student too. I am always doing my work so that my grades can pop out. Some people are stunned at how good my grades are and how good I can wrestle. They wonder how easy I can multi-task and I tell them," It's not easy, I just work for it,"
