I have been involved in athletics since I was 5 years old. Started playing football, basketball and T-Ball, followed by baseball. I love positions with focus, direct purpose; I played Quarterback and Center the majority of my football years from age 5 to a Sophomore in high school. I was a left handed catcher when I played baseball. At age 7, I gave up Upward basketball for wrestling. My Mom helped with wrestling when she was in high school and it was her dream for our community to have a youth program. Wrestling was not a huge sport in our area. Timberland High School at the same time had hired a new assistant wrestling coach from Ohio. With my Mom's time, dedication and love for the sport they teamed up with our Rec Dept. and Bonneau Takedown Club came to life starting with a team of 9 kids including myself. That fire ignited into a love for being on the mat that continues today. That same coach is still my coach now as the head coach at Timberland. We have a great relationship, we have a great family in Wolfpack Wrestling. They are my brothers, my family! We may work on the mat individually, but we are out there working for our team. We are always working for Championships, that is the ultimate goal. I placed 2nd at Lower State and 3rd at State last season. This season I have my eye on the prize and have been working to finish my senior year with a 2-A High School Championship.
I have a no quit attitude, always keep moving my Mom would say. As long as I keep moving, I am successful, Win or Lose because every match is the opportunity to improve. Same goes for life off the mat. Each day is a new day to be better then you were yesterday. I want to study to be a high school teacher, like Coach Rhoades. I love History so I am considering History, PE etc. as well as coaching. My other love is the Military so I'd like to minor in Military Science. Thinking of serving in the National Guard through college then going to Active Duty. I come from a long line of military service in the Army, Air Force, Marines and National Guard. I am a dedicated member of our JROTC program, Raider Team and have been on the Rifle Team as well.
I am a year round athlete, dedicated to training for various sports and staying physically fit throughout the year. I have maintained above a 3.0 GPA while being a three sport athlete, ROTC, Raider Team, Church and working part-time. I have a lot of heart, work hard, am dedicated in all that I do and feel I would be an asset to a team at the next level to continue to dream big, focus on the work to get there and to achieve all God has in store in this life.
I appreciate your time and would like the opportunity to discuss being a part of your program at the next level.
