- 2018 Highlights
Personal Statement
Currently my GPA is a 3.17 and my most recent ACT score was a 22. I do plan on taking the ACT again to see if I can better my score.
My current high school record is 81-20 and most recently placed fifth in the state of Tennessee, my Junior season, while recovering from Mono. I could not participate in the state tournament my sophomore season due to transfer of school, I was a state qualifier as a freshman. I was recently selected to the Tennessee National Team this past season competing in the AAU National Duals in Des Moines, Iowa and was recognized as Most Outstanding Wrestler for upper weights for our team with a record of 7-2.
I have been wrestling since the fourth grade and early into my first season I realized my love and passion for the great sport of wrestling. This past season I was blessed to have one on one coaching with two time DII All American Matt Martoccio as well as being able to learn from the coaching staff at Science Hill High School. I have also been able to attend numerous camps hosted by Josh Kindig and was granted an opportunity to wrestle for him at Flight Duals, my first opportunity to wrestle Freestyle. I work diligently with my studies and with offseason training, camps, tournaments, weightlifting, to become the best wrestler and person I can be.
I know that the transition from high school to college will be tough. But with my dedication and steadfastness I will give my all to become the best student and wrestler and will make a great addition to any college becoming a pivotal member of the team.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my personal statement.
UPDATE: I am a 2020 graduate who has attended and wrestled at both Kutztown University and King University (NCAA D2).
