My name is Wyatt Stemberger and in my life I cherish my faith, family, and friends which have guided and influenced me through life. For me, these aspects have aligned and merged in athletics. I have always loved competing in sports and have been fortunate that my entire family and friends have always participated and supported me. However, it wasn’t until my 5th grade year that I was introduced, and discovered my love for wrestling. I fell in love with the overall wrestling community and the respect for the sport, opponents, referees, and myself. I accept and appreciate how challenging and demanding the sport is, both mentally and physically. To this point I have experienced the harder I work and the stronger my work ethic is the more success I achieve. I was a captain for my middle school team and felt privileged to have the opportunity to assist teammates advance and become successful in the sport. I am looking forward to going into High School and preparing myself academically for my college experience. Athletically, I have hopes of making the varsity wrestling team as a freshman. The wrestling phrases of enjoying the journey and love the process applies not only to my wrestling work ethic but my walk of life as well as I grow with my family, friends, and in my faith.
