My name is Jaylyn Byerson, I'm currently finishing up my junior year of high school. I have been wrestling for five years after two years of doing Brazilian jiu jitsu. I believe that I've made a lot of progress in a short time period. I enjoy wrestling because of all the hard work I have to put in to make myself a better wrestler. You have to be physically and mentally tough, which I feel I possess both of those qualities. I love being underrated in a tournament and getting to wrestle the best kid, then surprising everyone with my skills. I can't imagine my wrestling career being over when I complete high school. I want to continue to wrestle at the collegiate level. I know it will be challenging, but I'm ready and willing to put in the work to make someone's wrestling program better.
