As a freshman and a sophomore, I have been a state participant state both times. My junior year I placed 8th in state out of a 32 man bracket because the regional tournament had been canceled due to weather. I don't know why I started wrestling in the first place, I would have to say it was because I like to test my limits and not always on others to get me to where I want to get myself. My realistic goals by the time I am a senior is to have gone to state every year, have placed 2 times, and then place in first. In my mind I'm always telling myself "I must get first," so that way I will always have to chase what I want; if I don't achieve my "must get first" goal, then I try harder next time. In the off season I run, lift weights, run cross country and go to the open mats my when my high school has them.
Currently I am doing Running Start, this is where high school students are able to take college classes while still taking classes at the high school, or they can take all their classes at the college. I am Taking two college classes each quarter and two year long high school classes. I have always been a great in school, my favorite subjects are math and science. I have always liked math, and science because it challenges me. I have never failed a class and I plan on keeping it that way all the way through college. School has always been important to me growing up, learning in school gave me challenges, which I have always liked whether they are mental or physical challenges. I'm always striving to better myself, and wrestling in college, and studying in college will fulfill part of this goal.
