Brandon Wilcox '13 Recruiting Profile

I have wrestled each year since the 1st grade and have always loved the sport. I have been Captain of my wrestling team since my freshman year in high school and I have recently have been selected again this upcoming season. I have also played football throughout my school years and this year I was chosen to be Captain. I finished the season with over 1000 rushing yards in 8 games. Named First Team All Conference Runningback.Earned our schools Dare to Be Great Award and Also was chosen to be apart of the 2012 Telegram All-Area Football Team. My freshman year our school hired a new wrestling coach. This was his first opportunity to coach a wrestling team. As team Captain, I assisted him in his teaching of technique. We have been learning together since my freshman year. I have tried to better myself by attending national and other events, wrestling higher level wrestlers. I have used this as practice as during our wrestling season I do not have a wrestling partner that is of equal weight or skill, our roster is very small. I have attended Victory School of Wrestling in River Falls, WI with Coach Kevin Black and will try to continue to do so to improve my wrestling skills I aspire to wrestle for a well reknowned college team and intend to work my way to the varsity level. I hope to wrestle throughout my college experience and gain access to a higher level of wrestling and education. My dream is to be a champion at the college level.
