Nicholas Starich '19 Recruiting Profile

Through my first few years of high school, I found a passion for the mathematics and engineering field because of the knowledge these two topics offer and how I can apply them to my future.  With this I was able to apply to the Insight Program and was accepted into the biomedical innovations strand. I still accelerate my knowledge of this two topics by taking internships and job shadows to achieve my goal of earning the engineering or actuarial degree.    

When I started wrestling in 6th grade I found I had a natural talent for the sport.  I wrestled for the school and then joined the Askren Wrestling Academy under the guidance of Ben Askren.  After joining Askren, I not only became more interested in the sport, but also bonded with the team and made many close friends, I still have today.  I enjoy the camaraderie of my high school team and the fellow wrestlers at the Askren Wrestling Academy.  I believe, I will continue to accelerate in the sport throughout the rest of my high school years, as well as college.  My goal is to become an NCAA champion and make a strong contribution to the college program I join.
