Personal Statement
I am Diego Munoz. I am a Senior at Edison High School in Fresno, California. I am a great candidate for any college because I have the work ethic and the time management skills. I have always earned good grades, I finish work without being asked, and in my first three and a half years of high school I finished with a 3.96 grade point average. I have great time management because I participated in an abundance of extra curricular activities while still maintaining a good GPA. I had AP homework, marching band practice, and I still had to fit in baseball off-season workouts(gym, throwing, batting practice, etc.). I would always work hard to achieve my goals and I still do. I play the sousaphone for the Edison Golden Brigade and we have won many awards. My instructor, Mr. Bradley Feyma, has taught me the importance of time management and his advice will help me manage time wisely in a college environment. Baseball wise, I have had a lot of hardships. I wasn't always the best or most talented growing up and was always picked last. As I matured I finally started to realize the importance of practicing to perfect what you love. I practiced about 6 days a week both summers and falls before my 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade seasons and it has been paying off so far. I am working out on my own, and have a effective winter weight training regimen. I have also been getting ready for the season with hitting coach Mike Ramirez and was formerly working with Sam Flores.
