Personal Statement
What I love most about baseball is the work ethic it demands. As a student and a player, my competitive habits and commitment to improvement drive my approach. My baseball IQ and makeup are often what coaches cite as differentiating strengths of mine.
I play in a highly competitive high school baseball environment with and against players committed to Pac-12 and other top D1 and D3 programs. Our team's culture and year-round daily habits are modeled after a college program. As a junior, I was my team's everyday SS and we finished the season by repeating as county champions.
My goal after high school is to play for an academically rigorous college team. I am focusing on a few specific D1 programs where outstanding academics are available and a few top academic D3 programs where baseball is taken very seriously. I also see college as a chance to experience a new area so I am completely open to regions across the country, both urban and rural. I look forward to learning more about college programs where I can contribute and thrive, and that support my goals as a student-athlete.
