Jackson Perry '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jackson Perry, I am a junior and member of the class of 2024 at Modesto High School in Modesto, CA. I started playing recreational baseball when I was 8 years old and started playing travel ball when I was 10. I feel some of my strengths on the diamond are being coachable, my extensive knowledge of the game, my desire to learn more, being a great teammate, my speed on the field, and my contact hitting. I am working hard to increase my strength and throwing velocity. My love for the game blossomed the moment I stepped onto the field; it felt so different from anything I had ever experienced up to that point in my life. It felt as if a new world with endless possibilities had opened up and I felt comfortable with everything the game threw at me. Since then, I have worked extremely hard and continuously strive to become the very best player I can be. In addition to my athletic commitments, I am also very dedicated to my education and academic career. I am a part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, which is a very tough and rigorous academic program for high school students around the world. IB has taught me some very valuable life skills, including how to avoid procrastinating, how to communicate with my peers, how to persevere through struggles, and how to view the world from multiple perspectives to get the most out of a situation, among other skills. Not only have I been thriving in the IB program, but I have been able to maintain stellar grades while being a dedicated athlete.
