Personal Statement
I hope to be a part of an amazing academic and athletic program in college. My main goal is to find a college that I can excel in my classes and complete my four year degree. I want to build relationships with my peers and especially my professors. In addition to finding a good academic fit, I want to belong to a group of baseball players that have similar goals to my own and have a strong sense of competition on and off the field, while staying humble and kind. I am a hard worker in the classroom and on the field.
I am proud of the fact that I have become a leader on the field in my position as catcher and take pride in helping my team compete at a high level. I am able to play multiple positions if needed, including 3rd and 1st base, in order to help my team succeed. I was selected one of the captains on my high school team and was able to lead by example. I have developed as a player and student throughout my high school experiences, sometimes dealing with various mindsets and politics, and have kept my work ethic and positive attitude.
I feel that I have the talent, work ethic, character and leadership ability that your program is looking for. I know I will be an asset to your program.
