Nathan Lajoie '24 Recruiting Profile

I started my freshman year on varsity at 2B and switched from 2B to 3B.  On my club team, I play SS.  Last year and this year, I earned the Offensive Player of the Year award for Saint Bonaventure Baseball.  I was team captain and starting SS for varsity for this year.

This season's league stats: BA .519, 3 doubles, 9 stolen bases, 7 RBI's, 9 runs scored. I was selected for 1st Team All-League and nominated for the All-County team this year.   

I’ve played baseball since I was five years old and I’ve always excelled at things that require me to move my body.  I spend about 2-3 hours at the gym working out anywhere between 4-5 days a week depending on where we are in the year.  

I consider myself hard-working, motivated and determined.  I like to laugh, but when it's time to work, I turn it on.  I know I have a job to do and I execute.  I’ve been described as a good teammate because of the energy I bring to the field and dugout.   I primarily play SS and 2B, but I play any position my coaches want me to play if it means we will win. 

I am a dedicated student and currently have a 3.71 GPA in a demanding college preparatory course of study.  I have also taken multiple courses at our community college.  I would like to pursue a career as a physical therapist, but I love learning, so I can see myself majoring in almost anything. 

I work as an expo at a restaurant 1 -2 days a week.  I enjoy fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends, but most days you can find me at the field or in the gym. 

For summer, I played with Thunder Baseball Group, where we play in the Golden Coast Collegiate League (all wood bat league). I batted .435 with 1 HR, 3 doubles and 14 singles.  I saw pitching in the high 80’s to low 90’s all summer. I played middle IF and LF.

For fall, I'm playing with the CA Halos team. 

Although I am from California, I’m excited about the prospect of attending college and playing baseball anywhere around the country!
