Personal Statement
My name is Raymond Ruiz, I'm a graduate of J.K. Mullen High School in Denver, Colorado. My dream is to play college baseball at a school that will help me to succeed, both in the classroom and on the field. Currently, I am playing in the state playoffs for Mullen H.S. and summer baseball for Catalyst Cardinals. I'm a left handed batter but I throw right. I'm an aggressive and smart base runner and have the explosive speed to steal them, my club coach calls me Ray-Ray the Jet! I hit opposite field or can bunt and get down the baseline.
Baseball is my passion, playing competitively year round since I was nine years old. I was nominated for USSSA's Best of Baseball 2011 & 2012 edition. I volunteer at La Puente Outreach (Alamosa, Colorado), Denver Rescue Mission, Mullen youth baseball camps, and Assistant Student Coach Notre Dame Catholic School's JV D1 basketball team.
