Personal Statement
Soccer is my life, I fell in love with the sport the first time I touched a ball at the age of 3. I am very dedicated considering that I moved from Mobile, Alabama to Pennsylvania so that I could play for the Philadelphia Union Academy at the age of 13 and now to Denver to play with the Rapids Academy at age 16. These were the toughest decisions I have ever made but I do not regret either move for a second. The fact that my family believes in me so much that they are always willing to move across the country drives me to train at my best every day. I strive to improve my abilities and give my all every time I step on the field. Growing up in Mobile, Al it was hard to find high-level soccer teams, but I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to play in multiple states across the south, with multiple clubs. It wasn't uncommon for my mother to drive me to practices that were 4 hours away. I became very disciplined in balancing school and soccer, that was the only way my parents would allow me to follow my soccer dream. I'm one of six children and strive to make my family proud and to be someone for my younger siblings to look up to. I feel I am responsible and that I make smart decisions on and off the field. I would consider myself a leader through my actions, and I would love to further my career by playing soccer at the collegiate level. Having a diverse group of teammates and coaches taught me not only to love my sport but to truly value the unique bond that soccer creates for players and fans.
