The first catch I made in a baseball game at the age of 6, I told my Dad I wanted to play baseball. Ever since I could remember, I would play baseball with my Dad and Play other sports, such as Flag Football and Basketball. I was always the MVP of the team every season, but as time progressed, other kids got taller than me. I was always the smaller kid compared to everyone else but the most athletic. As time passed, I realized coaches wanted size even though I outperformed them on the field and in the classroom. My 10th grade showed me that I had to work harder and get faster than the bigger kids. I was the best player on my Freshman football team, and in my 10th-grade year, I was moved up to Varsity. Once baseball tryouts started, my coach said he wanted me to play JV and get more reps at shortstop. Not making the varsity team was very disappointing, and I decided to stop playing other sports and focus strictly on baseball.
I was tested again when I was told that two athletes already committed to D1 power programs playing my position were transferring to my school. Because I was not committed, a coach told me I should move to another school. With a heavy heart, I talked to my friends, Mentor, and, most importantly, my Dad. I listened and decided to transfer. My new coach, who will be the winningest High School Baseball coach in Florida History this year, said I would not regret the decision to play for him. He said I have all the tools to play for any team. We must find the right program that needs a player with your strengths. All my life, dealing with being not as tall as other kids has made me a better athlete. I know I can play at any level of baseball. My dream is to play college baseball, and I will give everything I have to make an immediate impact on my team. My current key stats. Exit velocity 91.7,60-yard dash- 6.57,40-yard dash- 4.57{ Football}. All stats are Verified.
