Harrison Rutherford '22 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I went to go watch my high school baseball team win the state championship I’ve had a goal in the back of my mind to get us back into that spot. Now knowing what it’s like to play the game at the varsity level I realize how hard the road is to get there.. You have to work really hard to get back in that spot. This game has taught me so much in only two years. I’ve learned  perseverance and learning to strive for my goals. Losing is one of the toughest things to go through for me because I love to win. I mean who doesn’t love to win, but it’s also a good thing as well as it teaches and shows the bad that the team needs to fix in order to get better and better. I’m looking for a college that can help me both athletically and academically. I’m looking for a college that has a great atmosphere and has a bunch of great people around it. I’m a great player to have on the team as I am very uplifting and like to hype the team up as well as being able to teach the team as well and show a good example to them but not just the team, but the crowd and the community. I know when i mess up and I improve and work harder to get better and away from the mistakes. I’m very strong on defense. As I've worked all summer to improve my fielding and throwing. I am a “all A” student and I’m in BETA Club which is for students who excel in grades at their school. I’m an overall good student-athlete and have a great character and personality both on and off the baseball field.
