John Julian Kea '16 Recruiting Profile

Aloha 

           My name is John Kea and I am a 5'11 OF/RHP from Kapolei, Hawaii.  Ever since I was 10 years old, I have loved to play the game of baseball.  When I started playing ball as a kid, I started out as a catcher/short stop/pitcher, but as soon as I got to my freshman year of high school, the team need a right fielder.  At that time I thought it would be what is best for the team, so I stepped up to the challenge and took on that role.  I was 11 years old when I started as a right fielder and I've been playing in the outfield ever since.  

          Baseball means a lot to me.  I have the opportunity to travel a lot due to baseball. I have attended the Top 96 Baseball Camp in Auburn, Washington. I am a three sport athlete, playing Baseball, Football, and Soccer. Being a three sport athlete and living in Hawaii has not given me the best opportunity to better my self but always work hard to make my self better and better. This work ethic has enabled me to get better every year.

         I am looking for schools that will help me get my degree in Business. I would like a school where I can experience college life to its fullest, having fun while knowing what my priorities are. Doing well in school is very important to me because playing sports is a privilege, I am a student before I am a athlete. I have been able to keep up with my studies throughout the past years and I am working to get better grades than I have had.
