Luke Golla '18 Recruiting Profile

   My name is Luke Golla and I am a LHP from Marion, Iowa.  My primary position is pitching but I am also a very versatile player.  I am a very good outfielder with strong knowledge of the game.  I also have experience playing 1B and a quick bat. 

   Over the past few years I have stepped out of the box and have open enrolled to a high school that supports travel ball  ( Iowa's high school baseball is played in the summer unlike the rest of the states).  I tryout and play for other teams in other states.  That has taught me to be confident, coachable, and become a team player.  Which then lead to becoming part of the team.  I am very competitive, hardworking, motivated, and lead by example.  

   My goals for baseball are to become the best player that I can be on and off the field. I am a player who puts in the extra work and time training on my own in the off season to become a stronger and better player.  Good enough is never good enough!      

   Some of my accomplishment in baseball have been being selected to play for the Midwest Region at the 2015 Perfect Game Series Classic and playing in the 2014 USSSA All-American Games, representing the Central U.S.

   My goals for academics are just as important as my goals for baseball. Getting good grades and becoming the best student I can. My teachers would describe me as hard working, determined, respectful, and honest. 

   I have not yet decided on a major, but I do know I want to go to a college with a strong baseball background.  I want to challenge myself, play competitive baseball, and receive a good college education.
