Matthew Mills '16 Recruiting Profile

For the past 15 years of my life the one thing that has always been a constant is baseball and I wish to keep it that way for as long as I can make possible. I know getting the opportunity to play ball on the college level will allow this to happen and I'm more than willing to make the commitment if the opportunity does show itself.

People always tell me that I'm a very outgoing guy. In the past, being outgoing made it easier for me to talk to new teammates and start building those important relationships that make a team gel. But that doesn't mean I won't ever get on my teammates about being lazy or dogging it, whether I barley know them or not. I want them to be doing the best they can on and off the field so that when the time comes we'll take care of business.

When we're talking about academics I treat it just like I'm on the diamond, give it all I've got everyday and try to do the best I can. This thought process is why I maintained a high GPA freshman year and I'm on track for another good GPA this year. And during the year I did political debate and I intend to do that this year again.
