Personal Statement
I love baseball and want to play at a school that has great baseball and great academics. Although I am now enrolled at Nazareth Academy in Lagrange, IL and so was ineligible for my Junior season of high school baseball, I was on the team and received our teams Sportsmanship Award. I've had baseball success at Nazareth, Mount Carmel and Top Tier. I’m a versatile player who can catch, play MIF, hit, steal bases and gets great grades. If you want upside, I am 5' 10" and 165, but I'll grow. My Dad was this size in HS and 6' 2" / 240 in college. In class I am an "A" student who ranks 19/188. Whether in Honors Chinese, AP Physics or any other class, I get great grades no matter how tough my practice, travel or game schedule may be. I also know how to be a successful student athlete. My brother majors in Chinese and spent time as a baseball player at Notre Dame. My sister goes to Princeton and plays ice hockey. One uncle captained Yale's football team and another played in the CWS with Auburn. I know that to be a student athlete you need skill, but you also have to work hard every day, keep learning and be disciplined on the field and in class. That’s me.
