Personal Statement
The goal of every baseball player is to play in the big leagues. That is a very hard goal to conquer. Only 6.7% of high school seniors go on to play NCAA baseball—all divisions. Of that elite group, 9.7% will play professional ball at any level. Fewer than 1% of high school players will be drafted. Now that is where I come into play. I want to play college baseball at any level. I find the game very enjoyable and interesting, the game also teaches life lessons. I find myself a good candidate for any baseball team at the college level because i am willing to sacrifice things in order to play and for my team. I feel like i am different from many other recruits because of my character and attitude toward the game. I do not have a problem with authority and will do what I am told. I work hard on the outside the diamond as well. I play varsity football and start at inside linebacker, I wrestled for two years but had to give it up for baseball (a sacrifice i made for the game i love). I also participate in BFS and workout and hit on the off-season. I work hard in the classroom and plan on taking the ACT a few more times. School always comes before sports.
