My name is Nathan Younkin. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 165 pounds. Baseball has always been a big part of my life and I dream to move on to play in college. When I was younger I would mostly play third base but, as I grew older and became faster, I began playing shortstop most of the time. As a freshman I won the J.V gold glove award.
When it comes to hitting, I do the most damage with runners on. I’m am typically a hard out in the middle/bottom of the lineup. I can also play all positions except pitcher, catcher and first. I’m very motivated to play college ball and continue to work on my game to reach that level of play. In addition to practicing baseball during the season, I stay active during the offseason by playing basketball, football, and doing baseball weight/speed and agility training. I continue to focus on my school work and my priority is to maintain my good grades over my highschool and college career.
I would like to have a coach that can still teach me and help me become a better player. I would like to be on team where there is competition. I want to be an asset to the team by being flexible and helping where I am needed. I would prefer a medium to small sized school, because I was raised in a small community and like the small teacher to student ratio. I’m from central IL, so I would prefer to stay in the central location but would consider the east coast.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to look at my profile, good luck with your future baseball season. Have a nice day.
