Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Vinnie Kandefer. My goal is to play at the collegiate level and I am very dedicated to getting there, I have been playing on a club baseball team for 5 plus years and have been a leader of my team for those years as well. I feel that I have a lot of dedication and determination to be the best player that I can be. I also go out of my way to make my teammates the best that they can possibly be and will help them out if they have a question with anything that they have questions on. In college I hope to continue my baseball career while also getting a degree in computer programing or in business. Also I hope to grow as a individual and be a leader for many when I graduate college.
Off the field I maintain a high grade point average and volunteer at local soup kitchens and food pantries as much as I can because it is great to help others out in the community that are in need. Also in my High School I'm part of many groups such as peer counseling where we discuss problems that are going in the school and we find ways to resolve them. Also while off the field I am very involved in the church and I also help kids that have autism and other disabilities such as down- syndrome. Everyday I strive for the best in my self and others because in both the game of baseball and everyday life, It's not about yourself It's the person next to you.
I am currently 6'0/ 160 pounds and continue to workout every single day to become stronger before my last spring season. As for my stats, I have performed very well. Going into my Senior year I played against kids graduated going into their freshman year of college and batted .345 along with a .970 fielding percentage in the field at shortstop. My consistent infield velocity is 82-84. My ball exit velocity has jumped greatly as I sit 86-88 from the right side of the plate. My 60- Yard Dash time is quick at 7.0 but I'm doing many speed workouts to get it down to a 6.8. Going into college I would like to play in the infield as that's where I played my whole life but can be converted into an outfielder.
Thank you for your time!
