Personal Statement
Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. It takes dedication and patience to be a student-athlete, and those are two of my strongest attributes. I'm someone who will show up every day with a smile on my face while having a positive attitude. Also, I'm willing to put in the hard work day after day to see my progress increase, while being able to handle constructive criticism. Before I start my senior year in high school, I've been a 2-sport athlete, doing baseball and football freshman and sophomore year, while doing baseball and cross country junior Year. This senior year, I plan to only play baseball, while completely focusing on every attribute a good baseball player must have: physical strength (upper body strength, arm strength), baseball skills (arm accuracy, arm velocity, hitting velocity, fielding, base running skills, and speed), and most importantly...mental strength (coping skills at the plate, fielding awareness, base running awareness, etc.); with the sole purpose of becoming the best baseball player I can be for my high school senior year and for years to come.
In the classroom, Improvement is what it's all about. While my grades weren't the best freshman year and the 1st semester of my sophomore year, I've improved dramatically. Studying longer, focusing harder, and becoming more creative, I improved my grades 2nd semester of sophomore year and junior year, while doing Cross Country and Baseball. From a freshman who was in all regular classes while struggling, to now a senior who's taking an Honors class, while keeping good grades.
