Personal Statement
I am a sophomore. People already know me - my size is one thing they notice first. But, most important is my work ethic. I work hard every day, every practice. Focus is one of my best attributes. A positive attitude and support of my teammates is another. My freshman year was great. In pitching, I went undefeated in both high school and travel ball. In hitting, I grew stronger all throughout the season. I finished my last at bat for the summer with a GRAND SLAM. What a way to go out. I am in fall ball right now. This summer, I attended showcases in Las Vegas, Ft. Myers and an elite training camp in Huntington Beach. In each of these instances, I learned many great tips from coaches from across the country. The thing I'll work most on is speed. Each evaluation indicated I have tremendous potential, great size (6'3", 210 lbs), good technique, but need to improve my speed. So, 60's it is - every day. Looking forward to tournaments this winter - so far on in Carlsbad, CA over Thanksgiving weekend.
