Personal Statement
Ever since I was a little kid I had always dreamed of playing at the next level. I loved looking into big leaguers stories and finding out just how they made it to the top. I have realized the amount of time and effort it takes to get to that level. My goal is to play collegiate baseball and to be a good Godly role model while doing so.
I found my niche in baseball as soon as I moved schools. This will be my third year as a team captain and over those three years I have not only grown as a player but as a person. I have found that having good leadership on a team can be even more important than having the talent.
Personally I motivate myself with not only the love of baseball but my relationship with my dad. He was my number one fan while I lived in Texas. Out of no where, we moved and he hasn't seen me play since. That was my freshman year... I use him to motivate me on the field, in the weight room, and in my studies. This sets me apart from others as I have a drive that many don't.
Calvary Christian school sets high academic standards. Personally I struggled my sophomore year yet I learned how to properly study and manage my time between homework and baseball. My Junior year I was able to keep a 4.0 GPA and have continued that into my senior year.
I am determined to walk away with a good education while building everlasting friendships through baseball. I want to show everyone what I am truly capable of and to make my dad proud.
