Baseball has afforded me a lot of opportunities thus far in my life. I’ve also seen the opportunities that baseball and collegiate athletics have been able to afford both my parents; my mom in swimming and my dad in baseball, both at Auburn University and professional baseball. Even though playing baseball at the next level would be great I also know that having an education will make a big impact in my life also. That’s why I also think it’s important to focus on academics moving forward. I study really hard to make A’s and B’s and I play even harder because that’s who I am. I’m competitive in both athletics and academics. My goal would be to use athletics to afford me academic opportunities I may not have without athletics. Hopefully I can help a college or university to achieve their goals in athletics; however my goals and dreams would be to play past college. I’ll never take for granted my God given abilities but I will strive to improve upon those abilities. And after it’s all said and done I’ll be able to measure my success not only by my accolades but also by the impact I’ve been able to make on other people as well.
