Personal Statement

I'm a hard working baseball player who wants to take my game to the next level day in and day out. I'm a great leader and team player always put others in front of myself. I am a utility player, being happy to do/play what ever is best for the team and always have my eyes on a championship. I'm currently apart of the student athlete leadership council, made 2017 Capital Gazette All-County for OF, 2017 Public School Coaches All-county for OF and made the MSABC TEAM MARYLAND EAST FUTURES TEAM.  I also am a part of the National Honor Society. I plan on majoring in Sport Management. Wherever I end up going to school, I will represent that school in a positive way both on and off the field.

  • I took hitting lessons from ex-minor league baseball player,current Broadneck High baseball assistant coach and current Maryland Monarchs hitting coach. This helped me better prepare for my upcoming season and to help get myself ready for playing High School baseball, we worked on the mental parts of the game,hitting apporachs and refined my hitting mechanics to help make myelf a better hitter.   • I have taken pitching lessons from fromer MLB player John Dopson. We worked on having better pitching mechanics and different approaches to take based on counts and what pitches to throw. He helped me master my splitter and helped me add velocity to my fastball. I went to him in the winter of 2014/2015,2015/2016 and the 2016/2017 winter.   • Results U/Parisi Speed school helped me become stronger in the core,legs,arms and help me prevent injury. I learned stretches to keep my muscles from becoming tight, I took part in a series of core excerises, a weightlifting circut and then running drills to work on foot work,arm action and quick starts by using ladders,sleds and cones. I worked out there from August 2014 to February 2015 to prepare for my spring high school season. Then went back in June 2015 to October 2015 and again in February 2016 to prepare for the upcoming season.
