Personal Statement
I have committed to play baseball for the College of Southern Maryland (JUCO), where I will be catching and pitching. So far, I am having a strong fall season. I am hitting over .370 and have worked very hard to improve as a catcher. As a pitcher, I have not allowed any runs in my limited time on the mound. I would like to continue on to a four year school to continue my college career to see how far the sport can take me. Due to the fact that I was a competitive (college recruited) swimmer, I did not play on many summer baseball travel teams. I believe this limited my exposure to the recruiting process. I did not start playing baseball until I was 12 years old, so I know I do not have a huge number of games under my belt. I have been playing catcher for few seasons now and hope to improve my fundamentals with coaching and hard work. While I understand that my talents may be raw, I am working my tail off to get better. I am planning on majoring in a field that would allow me to become a Law Enforcement Officer, following in my fathers foot steps.
