Personal Statement
I am a 5'6" Junior at Coldwater High School. I started as a forward on our Junior Varsity team as a freshman and got moved up to Varsity to play in districts that season, where I had 3 shots on goal. Sophomore year I was a starting striker on Coldwaters Varsity team where I was top scorer and second in assists. At the end of the season, my team voted me "Best Offensive Player", "Rookie of the Year", and one of three captains for the upcoming season. I also received the awards of All District First Team, All Conference First Team, and the Battle Creek Enquirer's All Area team. Junior year I added 9 goals and broke the school record with 11 assists. I once again received All District First Team, All Conference First Team, the Battle Creek Enquirer's All Area team, and was voted "Best Offensive Player" by my teammates once again. After high school, I would like to attend a university to earn my masters degree. I am hoping to play soccer for whatever college I attend. I am a student athlete, with "student" coming first. I strive to do the best I can in both school and my athletics. Aside from other recruits, I am a coachable athlete and have been told that I am easy to work with. I have lettered in 4 Varsity sports; Cross Country, Swimming, Basketball, and Soccer. In the fall, I swim and play AYSO soccer. In the Winter, I play Basketball and Indoor Soccer. And in the Spring, I only play soccer. I am also an A student and work for Jimmy Johns and TNT Lawn & Landscape. Along with this, I am also a member of the Interact Club and the Vice President of the National Honor Society, which are both volunteer programs. I was also recently elected by 3 of my High School coaches to be a member of the "Cardinals Club" which is a first year organization linking Varsity athletics and academics, and I was elected the President of my class. I have been in love with the sport of soccer since I started playing at 3 1/2 years old and I will do whatever it takes to achieve my goal of playing collegiate soccer.
