In my sophomore season my high school baseball team won the county championship. I learned many valuable lessons that season like working through adversity after I had a very slow start to my season. I was able to overcome my slow start by working hard in the weight room and taking extra swings after practice. In the county championship I went 3 for 3 and hit a grand slam.
This past season I also started off slow but because of the lessons I learned in my sophomore year I was able to quickly turn my season around. I finished the season batting .472 and was named to the all-conference and all-group 4 teams while also representing essex county and north jersey in two all-star games. I hope I can find a school that challenges me not only in the field but in the classroom as well.
