Hunter Humenik '20 Recruiting Profile

My high school baseball career has been a bit of a roller coaster. What that has done for me is it allowed me to re-focus myself and gain a tunnel vision towards my goal of playing the sport I love at the college level. These past couple of years have changed the way I view the game and has made me realize there is more to the game than winning and that sportsmanship is highly valued. Currently I am attending Sussex County Community College and my experiences here have not only allowed me to grow as a player but it has also allowed me to embody characteristics and qualities which I did not know I had within me prior.

Most recently, during my first college baseball season I played very little but I never allowed that to stand in my way between my teammates and my coaches. Facing the adversity of playing sparingly, I believe, helped me mature and realize that participating at higher levels of competition requires more work. 

Allowing myself to excel in school has been paramount to me and my success as well as putting in the countless hours in the gym and the cages. It has made me into a leader and I have what it takes to compete on your team as well as be a leader for your team.
