Edgar Padilla '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Edgar Padilla, I am 5'11", 165 pounds. Hard work and dedication define how I approach everything in my life. Learning is the foundation, I try to get the most out of my schooling and my athletics. Playing at the next level will allow me to continue grow as a man and as an athlete. Earning my education is key to succeeding in life and in sports.

I have played sports my whole life, playing soccer, baseball and basketball at a high level. I did whatever was necessary to reach my full potential, but baseball has always been my love. As a freshman, I earned a starting position on Varsity, first in the outfield batting at the bottom of the lineup, but by the middle of the season I was the playing third base and batting third in the lineup.  I made Second Team All-District and was ranked in the top 10 in New Mexico in batting and On Base Percentage. My Junior year I made 1st Team All-District for SS and again in the top 10 in hitting and RBIs. I played primarily SS and 3B. I am looking forward to putting in the work my senior year and to continue to set a positive example as a team leader.

I take great pride in leading my team by example.  I believe being positive and grateful, along with setting goals, will help me be successful in any program.
