Tyler Thompson '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tyler Thompson from Whiteville, North Carolina.  I am currently a sophomore at South Columbus High School in Tabor City, North Carolina.  I am 5´10¨, 190 pounds and play primarily the following positions:  RHP, 1st Base, and 3rd base.  I started my freshman baseball season as the starting RHP for the JV team.  Two weeks into my 2022 season, I was pulled up to varsity and served as the closing pitcher for the rest of the season. At the end of my freshman season, I was awarded honorable mention all conference. I also play travel ball throughout the year where I am a starting RHP and play 1st and 3rd base. I have a strong work ethic in both academics and baseball currently having a 3.6 GPA.  I am looking for a college with a strong academic program as well as a competitive baseball program where I can continue to advance my education and growth and expand my baseball skills.  On the field, I plan to be a dynamic, well rounded player while maintaining a positive influence on my team.  I will strive to be an asset to your baseball program.  My overall goal is to play college baseball while obtaining a degree in Agriculture Engineering.
