D. Reiss Knehr '15 Recruiting Profile

   I will have many goals over my lifetime, but the 2 most important that will define my future are my athletic and academic goals.  My athletic goal is to become a professional baseball player.  I have wanted to play baseball in the majors since the day I could pick up a baseball.  I know this is a dream for many kids, and I am one of thousands if not millions.  But I believe my athletic career life is meant to be spent playing this great game and I plan to put my all into achieving this goal without a minute’s hesitation.  I know the game doesn’t last forever, so my academic goals are meant to prepare me for a career outside of baseball.  I want to study Criminal Justice in college, so I can pursue a career serving others as a police officer/detective.  There are many members of my extended family that have served and continue to serve in this and similar capacities.  These are important people to me and they have inspired me to work hard.  They are a constant reminder to me to continue to work hard and I believe if I keep that same work ethic, I will  achieve my goals.
